Residential
Residential Dumpster Rental in the Denver Metro Area
Altapeak Rolloffs delivers residential dumpster rental across the Denver metro in three sizes, with the tonnage and the rental days included in every quoted price rather than added at the end.
Most household jobs are decided by volume rather than weight, so the size that fits your driveway usually matters more than the tonnage does. Roofing is the exception, and it is the one job where weight runs out first.
Home Cleanout Dumpster Rental
Altapeak Rolloffs sizes a home cleanout dumpster rental by volume rather than weight, because household debris fills a container long before it gets heavy.
Furniture, carpet, boxes and garage clutter all go in the same container, and it is the bulky items that decide the size. Yard waste goes in with the rest of the load, so branches, grass and storm debris do not need a separate plan.
A single room usually fits a 15 yard, while a whole house is closer to the 30 yard, which includes 3 tons and 14 days.

Garage Cleanout Dumpster Rental
A garage cleanout dumpster rental from Altapeak Rolloffs usually means the 15 yard, which fits a single-car driveway without taking over the whole thing.
Tires, paint and anything containing refrigerant stay out, and those are often exactly what has been sitting in the back corner for years.

Roofing Dumpster Rental
Altapeak Rolloffs sizes a roofing dumpster rental around the roof itself rather than the pile, because shingles reach the weight limit while the container still looks half empty.
Tell us the square footage and how many layers are coming off and we will size it against the weight. Compare dumpster sizes and included tonnage if you want to check first.

Home Renovation Dumpster Rental
A home renovation dumpster rental starts with what the house is made of. Plaster and lath out of an older Denver home runs far heavier than drywall out of a newer one.
Cabinets, flooring, countertops, doors and fixtures all go in together. Many single-room remodels fit the 20 yard, which includes 10 days on site.

Estate Cleanout Dumpster Rental
Altapeak Rolloffs delivers an estate cleanout dumpster rental Monday through Friday and on Saturday mornings between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
Estate cleanouts usually come with a deadline, and Saturday availability is limited, so booking earlier in the week is recommended. Our yard is close by for dumpster rental in Commerce City.

Commercial Dumpster Rental in the Denver Metro Area
Altapeak Rolloffs runs commercial dumpster rental for contractors and property managers across Adams, Arapahoe, Denver and Jefferson counties, sized on weight rather than volume.
Jobsite loads are heavier than household loads at the same fill line, which is why a container that looks half empty can already be at its limit. Tell us what is going in and we will size it against the scale.
Construction Dumpster Rental
For active jobsites the 30 yard is the most useful size we carry. It uses the same 20 foot footprint as the 20 yard with two extra feet of wall height.
That matters when space on site is tight and you would rather fit more into the same footprint. Lumber, drywall, packaging and general site waste all go in the same container.
Sites inside the city limits should check the right-of-way rules on the dumpster rental in Denver page before scheduling.

Demolition Dumpster Rental
A demolition dumpster rental from Altapeak Rolloffs takes general debris but not broken concrete, because concrete, brick and asphalt need a dedicated heavy container we do not run.
Lumber, drywall, fixtures and building materials all go in a standard container. Sorting on site is quicker than sorting at the scale, and it is the difference between one clean load and a rejected one.

Property Management Dumpster Rental
Altapeak Rolloffs sizes a property management dumpster rental around weight rather than space, because wet carpet is what fills the allowance first on a unit turnover.
We can place a container in an accessible parking space when the layout allows. For multiple turnovers the 30 yard includes 3 tons and 14 days.

How Does Dumpster Rental Work in the Denver Metro Area?
Altapeak Rolloffs delivers a roll off dumpster in four steps, whether it is a garage cleanout, a roof tear-off or a jobsite that runs for a month. Here is what happens from the first call to the scale ticket.
-
1
Choose Your Size
Pick a container and a delivery date. Altapeak Rolloffs needs the address, the size, the day and a rough idea of what you are throwing out, because the material decides the size as much as the volume does.
-
2
Mark the Drop Spot
Put a cone, a bucket or a chalk line where you want it. Drivers place to the mark, and it is the single thing that most reduces the chance of a container ending up somewhere you did not want it.
-
3
Clear the Approach
A roll off truck needs roughly 60 feet of straight access and nothing overhead. Low branches and wires matter more than people expect, because the container tilts up before it comes down.
-

Call When You Are Done
Call for pickup whenever you finish, or keep it for the full rental period. The load is weighed on a scale at the disposal facility, so your final tonnage is a measured number rather than an estimate.
Not sure which size fits? Tell us what you are throwing out and we will size it with you.
Call (303) 718-1298
Altapeak Rolloffs sizes a dumpster rental around what you are throwing away, not just how much of it there is. Tell us what you are working on and we can match a container to the debris, the space and the time you need it. Full specs are on the dumpster sizes page.
Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. See where Altapeak Rolloffs delivers across Adams, Arapahoe, Denver and Jefferson counties.

Weight
What Pushes a Load Over the Included Tonnage
Every container includes a set tonnage, and going past it is the most common reason a final figure differs from the starting one. Worth knowing before you load, not after the scale ticket lands.
Four materials cause almost every overage on a residential job. All four are dense, all four look like nothing in the container, and all four go in without a second thought.
-
Shingles
An asphalt shingle tear-off is the densest common residential load there is. A single layer off an average roof can approach a full ton on its own, and a second or third layer multiplies it. The container looks a third full and the scale disagrees.
-
Wet Carpet
Carpet and pad absorb an enormous amount of water and hold it. The same carpet out of a flooded basement can weigh several times what it did dry, which is why water damage jobs get sized on weight rather than volume.
-
Plaster and Lath
Houses built before the drywall era used wet plaster over wood lath, and it weighs far more per square foot. Two kitchens the same size can produce very different loads depending on which side of that line the house sits.
-
Tile and Mortar
A bathroom floor tear-out is a small pile that weighs like a large one. The mortar bed under the surface is denser than the tile sitting on it, and together they are the usual surprise on an otherwise light remodel load.
Stepping up a size buys volume, not weight allowance. The 15 yard and the 20 yard both include 2 tons, so moving from one to the other gives you five more cubic yards of room and exactly the same tonnage. If the load is heavy rather than bulky, the size is not the thing that needs to change. Tell us what is going in it and we will size it against the scale instead.
Materials
What Goes In a Dumpster and What Does Not
Altapeak Rolloffs accepts household junk and standard construction debris in every dumpster rental, and refuses nine specific materials outright. Two of those nine surprise people, because plenty of haulers take them and this one does not: yard waste and concrete.
Both need a different plan, and it costs less to know now than to find out at the gate.
- Household junk and furnitureSofas, carpet, boxes, shelving and the general contents of a cleanout.
- Construction and demolition debrisLumber, drywall, trim, cabinets, doors, subfloor and fixtures.
- Roofing shinglesAccepted, and the reason we size a roof by weight rather than by volume.
- Cardboard, packaging and paperFlat-pack waste, office clearouts, moving boxes.
- Yard wasteBranches, grass, leaves, brush and storm debris. Colorado does not require green waste to be hauled separately, so it goes in with the rest of the load.
- Concrete, brick, asphalt and dirtThese need a dedicated heavy-material container and Altapeak Rolloffs does not run one. A general debris container hits its axle rating on broken concrete long before it looks half full.
- Tires, paint and oilAll three are handled separately by every disposal facility, and all three are usually what is hiding at the back of a garage.
- Appliances with refrigerant, electronics, hazardous and medical wasteRefrigerant has to be recovered before an appliance can be hauled, and that is federally regulated rather than a company policy.
A prohibited item found in the load carries a fee, listed in the price table above. If you are not sure about something in the pile, ask before you load it. See the full accepted and prohibited materials list.
Same-Day
Can You Get a Dumpster Delivered Today?
Altapeak Rolloffs delivers same-day when route capacity and container availability allow, which is often but never guaranteed in advance.
Call as early in the day as you can. The office opens at 8:00 AM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM on Saturday, and the 30 yard is the size most often available at short notice because it is the one we run most of.
I had the absolute best experience with Altapeak Rolloffs. Thank you guys for the same day delivery of the 30 yard roll off. Thank you for the prompt pick up. And on time. I also had an amazing price. You won't find the size or customer service else where if you need a roll off. And believe me I called everywhere. Nobody could deliver the trash the same day or have availability as quick as this company. A++ SERVICE ALL DAY LONG. ILL ALWAYS GO THROUGH THEM.
Placement
Will a Dumpster Damage My Driveway?
A loaded roll-off concentrates several tons onto the wheels and rails underneath it, so the risk to a driveway is real and any hauler who says otherwise is guessing. Asphalt is more vulnerable than concrete, and both soften in summer heat.
Driveway protection is available on request for an additional charge. Boards under the contact points spread the load across a wider area and are the standard mitigation in this trade. Ask when you book rather than when the truck arrives, because the driver has to bring them.
Placement matters as much as protection. Away from the edge of a slab is better than on it, because an unsupported edge is where cracking starts.

Questions
Dumpster Rental Questions
Do I need to be home when the dumpster is delivered?
No, as long as the drop spot is clear and marked. Put a cone, a bucket or a chalk line where you want it and the driver will place to the mark. If the spot is behind a gate, in a shared lot or anywhere the truck cannot reach without help, that is worth a phone call first rather than a wasted trip.
Do you deliver on Saturdays?
Yes. Saturday delivery runs between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. That is a three hour window rather than a full day, so Saturday slots fill early and are worth booking earlier in the week. Weekday hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Sunday we are closed.
What happens if it rains while the dumpster is on my driveway?
Rain adds weight, and on a load that was already close to its tonnage that can be the difference between an included load and an overage. Drywall, carpet, plaster and cardboard all absorb water and hold it. If heavy rain is forecast and your load is already substantial, a tarp over the top is worth the ten minutes it takes.
Can the dumpster be moved once it has been dropped?
Not by hand, and not once it is loaded. A roll-off is designed to be positioned once by the truck. If it needs to move, that is a second trip and it is booked the same way a delivery is. This is why marking the spot beforehand matters more than it sounds: the placement you get is the placement you keep.
How far in advance should I book?
A day or two is usually enough for a weekday delivery, and same-day is often possible if you call early. Saturday and the first week of the month are the two periods that book out fastest. If the job has a fixed date, such as a closing or a contractor start, book as soon as you have that date rather than the week of.
Still deciding? Compare every container on the dumpster sizes page, or get in touch and we will size it with you.
